Justin Heimberg is a screenwriter, television writer, creative director and author. As a professional feature film writer for ten years, Justin has worked with most major movie studios including Disney, Paramount, and Universal, and has collaborated with talent such as Jerry Bruckheimer and Jason Alexander. He has written for Fox’s “The Cleveland Show” where, among other duties, he penned the “Brotherly Love” episode, for which he wrote raps for guest star Kanye West.
Justin is the author of over twenty humor books which have sold over 1 million copies in the United States alone. His books range from adult humor to children’s adventure novels and include the best-selling Would You Rather…? series which has spawned, among other properties, a board game, a DVD game starring Howie Mandel, and game show development deals. He has served as a humor writer and contributing editor for magazines including Esquire, MAD, Details, and Men’s Journal.
Justin’s corporate work (as a creative director and writer) includes writing proposals, events, plays, games, agendas, scripts, themes, and films for corporations, events, and conferences. His corporate clients have included Deloitte, Pfizer, Discovery Channel, American Express, and BAE Systems.
Justin is a founding member of the international transmedia company Lazoo Worldwide where he serves as Chief Content Officer. At Lazoo, Justin sets the creative vision and oversees the creative team behind Lazoo’s media endeavors (including an app network, animation, a television show in development, books, and content related to over 300 Lazoo consumer product skus.)
Before Lazoo, Justin was the cofounder and Chief Creative Officer of Seven Footer Entertainment, a media company which produced books, television pilots, web content, games, and ancillary merchandise.
As an editor, creative consultant, and co-writer, Justin has collaborated with everyone from top advertising creative directors, to New York Times Crossword Editor Will Shortz, to South Park writers.
Beyond writing, Justin is the inventor of several games including Would You Rather…? and Hollywood Shuffle, and has also directed and produced numerous comedy videos featured on sites such as comedy.com and moviefone. His web series Do Unto Others has collected over three million views.
Justin is a professionally-trained improvisational performer, having trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and at L.A.’s Improv Olympic Theater.
Justin lives in the Washington DC/Baltimore area, but is flexible to work in many locations.
